Over 180 Ithaca College students have been inducted into the Oracle Honor Society. The Oracle Honor Society is a historic Ithaca College honor society that recognizes academic excellence. New students who achieve a GPA within the top 10 percent of students in their academic school after completing two full semesters at the college are invited to accept membership into the society.

More than 400 students volunteered on Buffalo State's annual "Bengals Dare to Care Day 2016." Students volunteered at a variety of community organizations. The event demonstrated Buffalo State's commitment to community engagement.

Nearly 700 first-time full-time freshmen began their studies at SUNY Canton for the fall 2016 semester.

This fall, SUNY Oneonta will welcome approximately 1,100 freshmen and 600 new transfer students hailing from across New York, as well as from 12 other states and countries. New students moved in on Aug. 24, and the fall 2016 semester starts Aug. 29. Our newest Red Dragons will officially join the Oneonta family when they walk through the historic pillars of Old Main during the traditional Pass Through the Pillars ceremony on the campus quad the night before classes begin.

The State University of New York at New Paltz has announced its Dean's List for the spring 2016 semester. Dean's List designation is reserved for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade-point average in a semester with a full-time course load.

The State University of New York at New Paltz announces the conferral of more than 1,150 undergraduate degrees following the conclusion of the spring 2016 semester.

Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker offered some practical advice for the Class of 2016. The class included 550 students at Union's 222nd Commencement.

The State University of New York at Geneseo has announced its Dean's List for the Spring Semester 2016. To be on the list, a student must have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average while taking a minimum of 12 credit hours.

A total of 1,469 SUNY Oneonta students earned Dean's List honors for the spring 2016 semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, a student must earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

More than 500 Buffalo State students presented their own research or creative work at the annual Student Research and Creativity Celebration held on campus in April 2016. Students from many academic disciplines including art, business, education, science, and technology explained their work using posters or presentations. Gallery and performance space was allocated to students in the performing and visual arts.

Buffalo State held its annual Arthur O. Eve Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) Honors Convocation on May 5. The convocation recognizes students who have achieved a 3.0 GPA during the spring or fall 2015 semester as well as students who have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.

Buffalo State is proud to recognize the undergraduate students who have completed at least 45 credit hours (30 credit hours for transfer students) at Buffalo State and achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA.

Union sent 20 students to the 30th annual National Conference on Undergraduate Research at the University of North Carolina, Asheville. The students' majors crossed all academic divisions, and each shared their research projects with conference attendees through oral or poster presentations.

State University of New York has nominated New Paltz students to be included in the 2016 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
